The photos are out, here is "Paddy", the new Collector's Club Web SR.
Another run of 222, and another one I won't be entering for. His description reads
"Sporting a hunter clip with four-leaf clovers dotting his rump, Paddy is ready for St. Patrick's Day! The four leaves of the clover are said to represent faith, hope, love and luck! Wearing a shamrock on St. Patrick's Day is a tradition that dates back to the early 1700's.
A Collector Club exclusive, this festive limited edition has "Paddy 2012" written on his belly. If you're feeling extra lucky, perhaps you'll be the one chosen to purchase the single buckskin piece, named "Pot O'Gold!"
Yep, there's an EVEN MORE EXCLUSIVE OOAK MODEL...
This is the "Pot O Gold" model. I'm a sucker for buckskins, but NOT with a decorator looking "hunter clip" paint job. I guess this is Breyer's way of trying to satisfy both collectors who want deco models, and those of us who prefer more realistic horses. Very creative way of doing things *kudos to Breyer*, it just didn't work for me. (I do think that light buttery buckskin on the Cleveland Bay mold without the pattern would be gorgeous...) I'm just waiting for that nice, realistic looking Web SR to show up, then maybe I'll get a little more excited.
So I guess there's another $125 I won't be spending on this guy.
Good luck to anyone who does plan on going for it.
